Our commitment
Edwaken is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of every child who uses our platform. We take our safeguarding responsibilities seriously and have implemented robust policies to protect students.
Teacher vetting
All teachers undergo identity verification, background checks, and a structured interview and demo assessment process before being approved to teach on Edwaken. We do not allow unverified individuals to interact with students.
Session safety
All sessions are conducted via video conferencing with the option for parents to observe. Sessions are recorded and stored securely. Teachers are prohibited from communicating with students outside the Edwaken platform.
Parental consent
We require parental or guardian consent before a student under 18 begins sessions. Parents have full access to session recordings and progress reports.

Data protection for children
